There are days when my mind is going crazy with loads of information and impressions. One of the things that I have learnt in 2020 is to work with what is in front of me. Looking at yesterday, only the lessons I have learnt , becomes meaningful and worth taking along with me into the new day with it’s own unique challenges. Getting stuck is exactly what it says:
S- stereotypes
T- turbulation
U - uneasiness
C - cancel
K - kingdom
Stereotypes:
When we cannot process what happened in the past it becomes part of the clutter that causes confusion and a sense of feeling spiritually and emotionally bloated. There is no room to fit in new ideas, vision, potential or revelation. We fall into the trap of living according to the process of repeating what has been done before over and over again until our life aligns itself with the ideas and ideals of others in stead of developing our own fresh, progressive thoughts establishing new ideas and subsequently great new habits. Refrain from focussing on stereotypes for direction. You will die in the desert, walking in circles and missing the promised land of new revelations.
Turbulation
The constant entertainment of thoughts about yesterday and its mistakes, wil cause a huge amount of anxiety, sleeplessness, blurred vision, depression, exhausting conversations, destructive and bad choices, people pleasing, self condemnation, procrastination, self doubt to only name a few. Take time to be quiet, find your new paradigm in calm and serene surroundings. Get into nature, go to a spa, retreat or simply take the dog for a walk, breathe life and exhale toxic thoughts. Lastly refrain from engaging into negative conversations. Find your centre of light, balance and rejuvenation in the calming presence of God.
Uneasiness
Getting stuck will make you feel uneasy in every situation that might challenge you to grow and move forward and possible away from your comfort-zone.
You will miss out on once-in-a-lifetime-opportunities. Feeling uneasy can easily be mistaken for a fear of the unknown and might even affect your ability to discern between what is good and wholesome and what is simply an uncomfortable, incredibly valuable challenge. Make sure that your uneasiness makes you resilient and does not paralyse you into thinking that “if I don’t have peace-I shouldn’t” but rather “I will find the source, evaluate, make good choices and move on”
Cancell
Many of us get stuck in “cancelled appointments, meetings, trips to undiscovered mysteries and unprecedented sucess stories.
In the end it leads to a cancelled life -so to speak. Everytime the disappointments in friendship, unsuccessful outcomes in decision-making of colleagues, fear of failure and the mysteries of life and the comparison of your success to the profound success stories of others (according to your unrealistic expectations of yourself) determines your thinking of today, you will remain stuck.
Kingdom-minded
Getting stuck will prevent you from entering the kingdom of God. Wow, that’s a bit harsh right? No, it is the simple truth. “Seek ye first the Kingdom and all these will be added unto you”. If we live with a selfs centered, blame shifting, self entitlement, self-absorbed, critical, unforgiving mindset, nothing can be further away of the focus to live a kingdom-minded lifestyle.
Think about what I have shared, pray about it and ultimately meditate on the Word-find your status in what the Spirit communicates to you about today, shows you about yesterday and find in all of that the strength and passion to move forward into the exciting unknown today!
